EASTER

I guess spring has officially begun, even if it doesn’t feel like it quite yet. Also, I keep getting emails reminding me that Easter is just around the corner. To be honest I think I even prefer Easter over Christmas and New Year’s Eve. The first of January is always depressing, cause I reflect back on all the things I haven’t accomplished the year before. As for Christmas you always have these expectations of what it’s supposed to be like and it never is, so somehow it always ends up being disappointing and also reminds you that the year is almost over. I feel like New Year should be in Spring, cause that’s the season of new beginnings, certainly much better than on a random day in the middle of winter. I’m sure there is some reason, that stems from some pagan ritual or something along those lines. Let’s get back to why Easter is much cooler than Christmas, you get to do cool stuff like colouring eggs, which is my personal favourite. The British don’t seem to be into it as much though, which is quite sad because finding egg colour and white eggs in London is almost impossible. In the UK it’s apparently only chocolate eggs from Cadbury, I tried them once needless to say that I won’t be trying them again. When I was still at Uni, we would have holidays during this time and I would just go back home to Germany and visit family. Sourcing egg colour/accessories there is really easy, you also get such a variety of products from little paper bunny ears to different types of colours and white eggs so many white eggs everywhere.
