Biography

Early Life
Irina’s parents, have had a long-standing hobby with photography and developed their own analogue film at home. One could say photography was in her blood and camera’s were always around, while she was growing up. One of her earliest childhood memories is with a Polaroid camera that family friends had. She became so fascinated with the way film was developed so quickly and how you could see the results in a matter of seconds. That for years she hoped she would own her own Polaroid one day. That day came on her 13th Birthday, needless to say, that she ran around with that camera taking pictures of everything she found interesting. A few years later she got her own small digital camera and fascination turned to a lifelong passion.

Education
After finishing High School, she moved to Los Angeles, to work on her portfolio and develop her English further. While working on a photography project, she recognized that photography was not just a hobby, but a profession she wanted to pursue further. In 2008 she moved to London to pursue a Bachelor of Arts at the University of the Arts, London. After graduation she took a year off, to travel and work on her photography full time. Returning to London in 2013, Irina started her Masters in Fine Art, at UAL and successfully graduated with an MA in 2014.


Work
Freelance After graduation Irina worked as a Freelance Photographer, building her portfolio with projects in various fields. It was important for her to build her skill set and be able to shoot in any type of lighting condition and situation. Clients included nightclubs, theatre productions, interior and exterior architecture, fashion editorial, headshots and many more. Unspoken World Magazine In late 2015 she started work on a passion project, with a good friend. This project is now known as Unspoken World Magazine. The brainchild of two expats who met in London and had a mutual love for photography, travel and different cultures and who wanted to share their passion with the world. Her contribution to this project can be seen in the photography and art direction of this magazine, as well as a few articles on Art and Travel. This project was mostly influenced by Irina’s love of street photography, which can also be seen in her personal projects.
